Rudy Blanchard is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional and holds
the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation—both among the most
respected credentials in the financial services industry. The CFP® certification requires extensive
coursework in financial planning, investment management, retirement, tax, and estate planning,
as well as passing a comprehensive national exam and meeting rigorous experience and ethical
standards. The CIMA® designation, administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute,
includes advanced investment consulting coursework through The University of Chicago Booth
School of Business and successful completion of a demanding certification exam.
Rudy has served as a Portfolio Manager and Market Strategist at Regatta Research & Money
Management since 1998 and is an experienced Investment Advisor Representative. His role
includes designing, managing, and adjusting investment portfolios tailored to individual and
institutional clients' needs.
Prior to joining Regatta, Rudy worked in the securities industry’s training sector, instructing
professionals nationwide in preparation for various FINRA (formerly NASD) licensing exams.
He also developed continuing education modules used by stockbrokers and insurance agents to
fulfill regulatory compliance requirements.
Rudy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of New Orleans and a
Master of Science in Management (MSM) from Troy State University. He has also shared his
expertise as a course instructor at Louisiana State University, Our Lady of Holy Cross College,
and Tulane University.
His insights have been featured in national financial publications including Money Magazine,
Wall Street Transcripts, and CitiBusiness. He also co-hosted the financial radio show "Money
Sense" with Eric Greschner on WGSO 990 AM.
Rudy and his wife Bernie live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with their three children. He enjoys
spending time with his family, reading history, listening to classic rock, visiting the mountains in
the fall and the beach during the summer.
