Regatta Research Announces New Office Opening in Houston, Texas
Company relies on signature style to navigate clients to financial freedom.
Houston, TX, January 16th, 2006 - Regatta Research & Money Management, an SEC registered money management, research, and comprehensive financial planning firm, announces its expansion of services and offices to Texas from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Asked if Hurricane Katrina was a deciding factor, in expanding from their home base of New Orleans, Registered Investment Advisor at Regatta Research, Eric Greschner, stated, "Definitely, with the number of existing clients moving to the area after the hurricane, it expedited our plans to open in Houston. We now anticipate Houston becoming our new corporate headquarters. Its ideally situated along the I-10 corridor, has numerous direct airline flights, and is home to a highly educated pool of future Regatta employees." The company had targeted Texas as a major market in their 2006 expansion plans. "We have a lot of clients in Houston. Many wanted to refer friends and family members, but felt having an office in Houston would make a substantial difference in securing accounts. Our company also manages money for brokerage firms, financial advisors and CPAs, many of whom are located in Houston. We realize a presence here is in our best interest."
To introduce the companys experience and expertise in the financial and investment arena, Regatta is planning a series of free monthly seminars beginning in January. Topics will cover a variety of financial issues specifically targeted to broker dealers and investors and are available to view on the website. "Regatta specializes in money management, allowing a partner or broker dealer to focus on building their book of business, retaining clients, and not stressing out about managing their clients portfolios," states Greschner. "We work with several broker dealers and their registered representatives to provide high end research and portfolio management services to their clients. For individuals and families, we provide comprehensive wealth management services from college funding to retirement planning."
What makes Regatta Research unique is they are non-style specific, a practice not often used by money managers. "We dont just stick our clients in a fund or stock and watch it go down the tubes. We actively monitor and switch between stocks, sectors, and funds for our clients on an ongoing basis. One of our signature styles is to cut losses short and let profits run. Its not just about staying afloat, its about steering the ship," Greschner states.
The company believes commissions and hidden back door fees create an unacceptable conflict of interest. Regatta charges a small annual fee based on the value of the investors portfolio. "We make money when our clients make money," said Greschner. "Being paid by the client and not by an interested third-party insures our clients their interest of our only interest."
