New Orleans money management firm to open San Antonio office

Eric Greschner interviewed by San Antonio Business Journal about future expansion plans.

San Antonio, TX, January 27th, 2006 - Regatta Research and Money Management, L.L.C.’s senior portfolio manager and managing partner, says the firm plans to open new local office in downtown San Antonio.

Regatta Research & Money Management is a SEC registered provider of wealth-management services, such as money management, research, and financial planning. It manages portfolios for individuals and brokerage firms.

Greschner said Hurricane Katrina was an impetus for the company to ramp up its Texas expansion plans. Greschner states "We had a lot of clients prior to this in Texas. But we’ve had a massive (displacement) of people in New Orleans and Lake Charles into cities like Houston and Dallas," explaining that the best way to serve their needs is to be closer to them. "New Orleans has lost critical mass, and it may be 10 years before things get back to where they were before."

Once the new office is opened, Greschner says Regatta will look to increase its client base by holding seminars and through marketing.
